Position Overview:

At Apollo.io, we are deeply invested in creating the best user experiences through strategic engagement. As our Lifecycle Email Marketing Manager, you will be a linchpin in activating users, fostering a deeper exploration of our features, and championing upselling strategies. Maintaining email domain and IP infrastructure, ensuring a clean user database, and focusing on key performance metrics will be instrumental to our growth. You will collaborate closely with the Growth, Product, and Content teams and report directly to the Head of Marketing Automation. Your role also entails a significant focus on onboarding new users through email, ensuring they are quickly familiarized with our platform's value propositions.

Responsibilities :

  1. Email Campaign Management: Design, implement, optimize, and A/B test email campaigns. This includes crafting compelling copy and promoting platform features.
  2. Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with Growth, Product, Content, and Sales teams for insights and feedback.
  3. User Onboarding: Develop and refine the email onboarding sequence.
  4. Retention and Upselling Campaigns: Drive user retention and strategize upselling campaigns. 5. Database and Infrastructure Management: Ensure user database accuracy and oversee the email domain and IP infrastructure.
  5. Customer Journey Optimization: Analyze and enhance touchpoints in the customer journey. 7. Ownership of Customer.io: Manage and optimize the Customer.io platform. 8. Performance Monitoring: Continuously track email metrics and adjust strategies.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in product-led growth for B2B SaaS roles, with specific expertise in email and lifecycle marketing.
  • Analytical Skills: Demonstrated expertise in interpreting and acting on data metrics related to email performance, user engagement, and conversion rates. The candidate should have a history of optimizing campaigns based on quantitative feedback.
  • Strong Communication: Proven ability to craft concise, persuasive email content for various stages of the customer journey. A track record of effective collaboration with different teams and stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging is essential.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in email marketing platforms and well-versed in the intricacies of email deliverability. Basic understanding of HTML/CSS for email customization is a plus. Experience with platforms like Customer.io and other database management tools is highly desired.
  • Organizational and Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to handle multiple campaigns concurrently, set priorities, and meet deadlines. Experience coordinating with diverse teams and efficiently managing resources is crucial.
  • Adaptable Learner: Given the fast-evolving nature of digital and email marketing, the candidate should exhibit a commitment to continuous learning, staying updated with new tools, strategies, and best practices. They should also be flexible in adapting strategies based on new industry trends or insights.
