As a Product Manager in the Careem Pay team, you will be leading and owning products and services that enable paying experience for customers in a delightful and compliant fashion across the Middle East and North Africa. The role is based in our Dubai office.

Responsibilities:

Payment Checkout and Processing Expertise:

  • Utilize your 3-5 years of experience in managing payment checkout and payment processing to guide the development and enhancement of our payment solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and industry standards in payment processing, including knowledge of cards payment processing and open banking.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement best practices for payment checkout flows.

Payment Gateway and Acquirer Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with payment gateway providers, acquirers, and other external partners to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Drive the integration of various payment gateways into our systems, ensuring compatibility, security, and performance.
  • Work closely with external partners to explore and implement new payment methods, technologies, and features.

Payment Experience Enhancement:

  • Continuously improve payment experiences across different channels and platforms, such as web, mobile, and in-store.
  • Collaborate with design and development teams to create intuitive and user-friendly payment interfaces.
  • Conduct user research, gather feedback, and perform usability tests to identify pain points and optimize the payment experience.KPI Management:
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to payment success rates, including conversion rates, transaction errors, and payment decline rates.
  • Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement, and drive initiatives to enhance payment success rates and reliability of payment platform
  • Work closely with data analytics teams to drive actionable insights from payment-related data and implement data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline).
  • 3-5 years of experience in product management, specifically focused on payment checkout and payment processing.
  • In-depth knowledge of cards payment processing, including authorization, settlement, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with open banking principles and the associated implications for payment processing.
  • Proven experience working with payment gateways and acquirers to implement diverse payment experiences.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A passion for creating exceptional user experiences and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities.
