The senior IT Infrastructure engineer will be responsible for the day to day running of the infrastructure, incident management and the ongoing design and implementation of Infrastructure changes and enhancements and play the role of a subject matter expert for corporate network and on-prem infrastructure.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Network Skills

• Design, implement, and manage networking infrastructure for optimal performance and security
• Oversee and manage wireless networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and troubleshooting connectivity issues
• Perform network troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet business requirements.
• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls)
• To be responsible and accountable for network security; to actively review, monitor and improve network infrastructure security, undertake a regular programe of self-audit and base lining by utilizing the appropriate tools and in conjunction with formal audits as conducted by both Internal and external auditors

System Administration Skills

• Manage and maintain virtualization platforms, primarily VMWare, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability
• Oversee day-to-day maintenance tasks for Windows servers, ensuring system stability and security
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address business requirements
• Monitor system performance and conduct regular system audits to ensure adherence to security and compliance standards
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide timely resolutions
• Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems and applications
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and regular system updates
• Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures Communication

• Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors.
• Delivers engaging, informative and well-organized presentations.
• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.

Desired Skills:

• Proven experience as a Network & System Engineer or similar role in a corporate setting
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, VPN,IPSEC,VRRP, BGP, HSRP)
• Hands-on experience with Cisco/Load-balancer networking devices and Meraki products preferred
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent will be a plus
• Strong understanding of virtualization technologies and concepts
• Proficiency in Windows server operating systems, Active Directory, and related technologies
• Experience with server hardware and storage systems
• Relevant certifications such as VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server certifications will be a plus
