Senior Captain Marketing Associate - Lead Generation
Careem
Careem is building the Everything App for the greater Middle East — making it easy to move around, order food and groceries, manage payments, and more. Our purpose is simple: to simplify and improve people’s lives and build an awesome organisation that inspires.
Since 2012, Careem has enabled earnings for over 2.5 million Captains, simplified the lives of more than 70 million customers, and built a platform where the region’s best talent and entrepreneurs thrive. We operate in 70+ cities across 10 countries, from Morocco to Pakistan.
We’re now entering our next chapter — one powered by AI. We’re looking for AI talent: curious problem-solvers who know how to apply AI to build tools, automate workflows, and create real impact. Whether it’s streamlining operations, enhancing customer experience, or reimagining internal systems — we want people who can make Careem work smarter and move faster.
About the team
You’ll be joining the Captain Marketing Team at Careem, a high-impact unit embedded within Central Operations. Our mission is clear: to bridge the gap between operations and brand, bringing our Captains closer to the heart of Careem.
We are a super agile team that thrives on speed and efficiency. We don't just follow processes; we invent them on the fly to make things happen. We’re looking for someone who can match our "above and beyond" mindset
About the role
This is a high-impact, hands-on role designed for a marketer who thrives both behind a screen and on the ground. You will own the full funnel from driving digital lead generation and crafting sharp copy and content strategies to executing on-ground events and building deep relationships with our Captains and field teams. We’re looking for a fast learner and a master collaborator who can navigate multiple stakeholders and execute with relentless speed.
What you'll do
Core Mission: To own the Captain lifecycle. You will acquire new leads through digital precision and build deep-rooted loyalty through high-touch community events and structured feedback sessions across the UAE.
1. Community Engagement & Qualitative Insights
- Monthly Event Circuit: End-to-end execution of engagement events across the Emirates (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, etc.).
- Chai pe Charcha & Townhalls: Organizing large-scale, informal "Tea & Talk" sessions to foster community spirit and bridge the gap between Captains and corporate staff.
- Structured Focus Groups: Conducting regular, small-group sessions to deep-dive into Captain pain points, test new features, and gather qualitative data.
- The "Feedback Bridge": Translating on-ground sentiments into actionable "Insight Reports" for Ops, Product, and Strategy teams.
2. Digital Growth & Lead Generation
- Paid Media Execution: Hands-on management of TikTok Ads Manager and Meta Business Suite to drive high-quality Captain leads.
- Performance Tracking: Monitoring CPA (Cost Per Acquisition) and Lead-to-Onboarding conversion rates to ensure spend efficiency.
- Influencer Liaison: Identifying and managing niche influencers within the Captain community to amplify reach and trust.
- Copy & Content: Write all marketing copy and create content for ads, social media, and Captain communications.
3. Cross-Functional Coordination & Creative Briefing
- Internal Liaison: Gathering requirements from internal stakeholders and ensuring they are communicated effectively to the Captains.
- Creative Briefing: Translating complex business needs or Captain feedback into clear briefs for the design team to create high-performing social assets, lo-fi videos, and event collateral.
What you'll need
- 2–4 years of marketing experience with a focus on both digital and offline lead generation.
- Must be fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu (Arabic is a strong advantage).
