Job Overview:

As our Director of Engineering, you’ll be a results-oriented leader who will create our next generation of systems. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, relishes building high-performing systems, and enjoys the challenge of solving complex business through technology. You will provide technical leadership to multiple teams by helping them make sound design tradeoffs while balancing tactical and strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering teams to enable hyper growth.
• Hire and scale the teams
• Build and manage a true global & highly efficient engineering Org.
• Align with stakeholders and lead engineers on mission critical projects to resolve complex problems.
• Drive the high quality of architecture and design of systems and keep raising the quality and design bar.
• Deep-dive and handle critical system issues.
• Define and monitor the key metrics governing the systems, with an eye toward continuously improving them through ongoing product innovation.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years senior management experience, including managing managers;
• At least 10+ years of experience in designing, building and deploying scalable, highly available backend services developed in Java/web environment
• Track of records of delivering large scale mission critical projects;
• Track of records of building the highly efficient Engineering organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
• Computer Science Degree or equivalent from a fully accredited college or university.

Preferred :

• Ability to think strategically, with exceptional skills in diving deep and raising for engineering excellence
• Able to dive deep to find gaps for availability, scalability in current systems and come up with right solution
• Able to operate autonomously to manage projects in a fast-paced environment and remain focused amidst frequently changing requirements;
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and leading the delivery of large-scale services for complex platform projects and connect it to business impact
• Able to pitch and hold in depth discussions with the C-level stakeholders.
• Prior experience in eCommerce systems;
• Prior strong experiences in leading and delivery company-wise tech initiatives.
• Prior experience to establish engineering excellence strategy for your systems and execute.
