What are the 4 things you need this person to do

Direct our marketing teams as follows; 1) product marketing team that works with PO/ UX teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new product solutions and to drive bottoms-up product needs from sales and direct voice of customer, 2) category insights team that applies analytical skills to harvest insights from Coupang first-party data sources to build shopper trend communications for sales and direct-to-customer, 3) Go-To-Market team that drives Live Commerce marketing and content strategy, deliverables, and distribution on owned & operated website and third-party eco-systems, 4) Events marketing team that plans and executes mass audience convention-style events and more intimate executive events using third-party agencies and in-house resources Lead all of Coupang Advertising external communications, including materials and communication contents for our ad solutions. Analyze data to capture business issues and opportunities, draw meaningful action plans, and lead the entire process through execution. Lead channel marketing with category insights team to support our Large Customer Sales, Small/Medium Business, and New Customer Acquisition teams, including Korea, Taiwan, and China marketplaces.

Essential Qualifications:

Multi-disciplinary leadership experience – manager of manager – to lead growing marketing organization Ability to collaborate with C-suite level leaders internally across Product, Engineering, Legal, PR, and Sales functions; and externally with advertiser decision-makers. Ability to and passion for hands-on analysis of data to create action plans and carry them through. Business operation experience through strategic thinking. Ability to adapt in real-time to fluctuating situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Marketing leadership experience (+15 years)
  • Sales team leadership experiences
  • Upstream (Product Marketing Experience) marketing experiences to down-stream (go-to-market execution)
  • Consumer Marketing Experience
  • E-commerce or digital marketing experience
  • Korean- and English-speaking

Work Scope required but not limited to:

  • Lead the overall process of Product Design & Customer Segmentation/ Value Proposition by closely working with Product Owner group for Coupang Advertising as well as Eats and Play.
  • In charge of Pitch deck/ Video/ Communication content, including email/ SMS/ Website & designs to cover product launch to 100% deployment
  • Collect voice of customer via surveys, interviews, and offline seller conventions to build brand-building program for Coupang Advertising.
  • Represent Advertising with Corporate PR team.
  • Collaborate with sales team by leading channel marketing.
  • Lead Live Marketing to drive traffic to live site and drive subscribers of Live program.
  • Deliver all the design materials for Ads team and produce videos including success cases production.
  • Own all Website/ Youtube/ Kakao (including Eats) distribution and comms ecosystems & manage content
  • Drive lead gen work in collaboration with Activation team, including SEM/ outside trainer (including Eats)
  • Lead the execution of all CMG offline events with sales teams
