About the Team:

Experimentation and Decision science team enables and supports decision making across Coupang products.

As a data scientist on this team, you will work directly with diverse set of stakeholders including product, analytics, engineering and business across various levels up to VP. You will be expected to understand various decision needs and priorities of these stakeholders, provide causal inference solutions and also help build product strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, implement and maintain science standards for product decision making
  • Contribute to decision research including breaking risk vs velocity trade-off, working closely with the stakeholders and Experimentation platform team
  • Contribute to product launch reviews and building an efficient product launch process at Coupang

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative field (Statistics, Engineering, Business), or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of cumulative experience in Product and data science
  • At least 4 years in product data science, with demonstrated experience in decision making using data working with senior stakeholders
  • Proven expertise in experiment design and analysis (A/B test)
  • Ability to handle data - SQL, Python or other querying language

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Quantitative field (Statistics, Engineering)
  • Has experience in E-commerce product data science
