Role Overview

Rocket Growth is a Coupang Fulfillment business that enables sellers to offer best-in-class delivery and post purchase experience to customers. With Rocket Growth, sellers’ products get the Jet Delivery badge and are delivered to customers via Coupang’s Rocket delivery network.

Rocket Growth is the fastest growing team in Coupang and has an exciting roadmap of products and features in the pipeline. We are hiring driven leaders who are excited to solve tough problems and like to collaborate with brilliant individuals to innovate and create history.

As a Director of Data Analyst for Rocket Growth, you will be owning and driving critical decision making and modeling across a range of ambiguous problems using data. You will be structuring the data, defining decision variables, running simulations, and modeling large-scale datasets to optimize business outcomes and facilitate business decision making.

You have a mindset that constantly challenges the status quo, and you possess a high degree of decision-making acumen. You are not afraid to disagree, love working with data, analyzing the data to come up with insights and possess the panache to work with a diverse set of stakeholders to align them to common goals and decisions.

What You Will Do

• Reporting and support projects: build a reporting tool for core reports such as Weekly Business Review. Perform complex analysis to support multiple different projects and programs.
• Metrics: deliver a set of Key Performance Indicators, used for reporting on product adoption, usage, performance, and churn. Manage KPI including underlying data tables and governance.
• Forecasting: design and maintain inventory and revenue forecasting models as a critical component of the revenue optimization process. Assist with analyzing sales patterns to identify trends and aid financial forecasting.
• A/B Testing: design, conduct, analyze and uncover insights from A/B tests to inform and prioritize product iterations. Do this with statistical rigor and perform cohort studies to answer “why?” on test result drivers.
• Tell a Concise Story – At completion of Tests, build timely, compelling, fact-based test recaps that strongly communicate the business ‘story’ behind the data and test outcomes.
• Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Uplevel the data capabilities of broader teams through self-serve data capabilities and training in the entire organization.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of total experience
• Ability to solve problems through creative thinking and partnerships with other teams
• Ability to attain challenging targets through goal-setting and personal drive
• Ability to drive consensus between stakeholders through skilled communication

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data analytics such as SQL, Python or R.
• Experience with Data Analytics tools and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
• General understanding of business operations across key areas such as finance/legal/HR/logistics/e-commerce/tech
