Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Public Affairs professional to join our team. We value the importance of engaging with communities and foster positive relationships and sustainable growth. The Public Affairs Manager will play a crucial role in representing Coupang and promoting our values, and building strong connections with stakeholders in Taipei and Taoyuan area.
Position: Principal I, Public Affairs
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement public affairs strategies to engage with communities in Taipei and Taoyuan, fostering positive relationships and promoting the company’s reputation and visibility.
- Build and maintain relationships with government officials at national and local level, non-profit organizations, community leaders, and key stakeholders to advocate Coupang’s best interests.
- Act as a liaison between the Company and local government agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of interest and compliance with regulations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices in public affairs and community engagement to continuously improve strategies and initiatives.
- Organize and coordinate community events, initiatives, and outreach programs to support the company’s ESG objectives.
- Monitor and analyze public opinion, community sentiment, and emerging issues that may impact the company’s operation.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including legal & compliance, communications, and operation, to develop public affairs-related messaging and communication materials for external stakeholders
Essential Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of related experience in public affairs and government relations
- Strong understanding of the political environment, government structure, regulatory frameworks and community dynamics in Taoyuan and Taiwan.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to represent the company effectively in various forum.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
