Job Overview
Director, IT Governance and PMO is a critical role in supporting growth in our organization, managing, and driving stability for our applications, by enabling end users to rapidly and successfully adapt products and technology to realize business value. This role will require partnering with peers, business stakeholders, software and services providers and colleagues within and outside the team, to maintain, support and improve the services, analyze and trouble shoot problems, identify and automate frequently used administration activities.
As a team lead, you will drive the Team to develop frameworks and processes to support both Enterprise corporate business objectives and IT transformation strategy. You will also develop, implement and monitor reporting mechanisms for governance, security and risk practices to support compliance and highlight areas of exposure. Building and maintaining close working relationships with business partners and ensuring alignment to group standards and policies. Developing IT governance model and processes to achieve a flexible, efficient approach continuously improving processes and aligning with group governance to maximize effectiveness. Lastly, work collaboratively with other corporate oversight functions to identify and implement consistent and effective approaches to risk governance and control-based activities.
Primary Role Description
- As a member of the Global Technology Services team, partners closely with business executives to develop the IT Governance and PMO supporting the Global Technology functional areas.
- This position is to facilitate and expedite some of the Global IT Governance and PMO pillars such as resource controlling, finance, procurement, service portfolio, KPI / OKR tracking, and more.
Key Responsibilities
Governance:
- Create a Center of Excellence in alignment with Project Management
- Build processes for quality standards and company requirements.
- Implement Operational efficiencies to meet or exceed the Organization goals.
- Develop, implement, and govern program management processes, tools, templates, policies, and metrics.
- Manage the risk, issue, and change resolution process, and work with other leaders to take corrective action as needed.
- Ensure contract compliance and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
Managerial skills
- Expert knowledge of organizational strategies and needs
- Strategic and analytical mind used to determine relevant KPIs in service of company objectives.
- Expert knowledge of the creation of frameworks, user guides, processes and systems optimized to efficiently reach organizational goals.
Soft skills
- Productive communication skills towards PMO Executives, motivating them within the implemented framework.
- Constructive feedback techniques
- Staying up to date with current trends and technological innovations relevant to the company’s objectives
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of diverse and relevant experience.
- Experience with performance metrics and measures, customer assessment, cost/benefit analysis, benchmarking, process mapping/simulations, data collection, problem identification
- In-depth knowledge of tools, concepts, methodologies and techniques of business process reengineering, change management
- Good presentation, verbal and written communications skills
- Diligent, resourceful and able to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
- Meticulous in planning and tracking.
- Familiarity with tendering procedures and managing IT budgets would be an advantage
- Good command in English, Korean is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years or more of project management
- 5+ years or more of IT governance management
- Professional knowledge on multiple information technology domains
- Ability to translate business requirements into IT services and operations by writing down detailed implementation plan
- Experience in contract negotiation with global IT partners
- Strong in negotiation and facilitation with excellent communication skills with senior leaders
- Working within a well-defined service management environment based around ITIL practices
- Experience of global matrix environment.
