Job Overview

As an integral part of Coupang’s Global Mobility and Global Business Travel (GM/GBT) team, the Executive Travel role will support the Head of GM/GBT with the end-to-end Executive Travel planning and operations. The ideal candidate is very experienced in VIP protocols and C-suite business travel, liaising closely with travel providers and other key vendors and stakeholders to create exceptional travel experiences. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, is highly attentive detail, and has a positive can-do attitude under very high expectations with tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel planning and booking for the Executive Travel (SVP+) program
  • Conduct detail-oriented research on key elements of travel destinations and/or high-profile company events
  • Manage executive travel vendors, including travel agencies, hotels, and ancillary travel services providers, liaising closely with Global Business Travel team
  • Provide outstanding customer service, including resolving any issues or escalations efficiently
  • Collaborate proactively with Security, Executive Assistants, and other stakeholders
  • Lead the reporting and monitoring of the program’s travel data and trends, regularly assessing the program to mitigate compliance, operational, employee well-being and financial risk
  • Proactively stay informed of industry and functional specialty areas, researching best practices and benchmarks, notable trends in order to create a program that is best in class
  • Collaborate on Global Mobility, Global Business Travel and other HR team initiatives and projects as assigned

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of corporate in-house C-suite global business travel coordination experience (including managing travel within Asia and the US)
  • A track record of experience taking initiative and working independently, in addition to collaborating effectively as a team-player, building relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Travel management experience at multinational corporates, startup, corporate event management companies would be a plus
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented skills to ruthlessly prioritize and manage multiple complex projects and tasks
  • Agile and flexible to the needs of rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to handle high-pressure deliverables and resolve urgent issues, with a strong sense of accountability, judgment, and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Impeccable customer service, emotional intelligence, and high degree of discretion and confidentiality
  • Strong written and verbal communication (Professional level Korean and English) including tact and diplomacy
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and confident in their ability to learn, navigate and leverage other systems and travel technologies for optimal efficiency

Please be informed that the job applicant is required to pay the postage on the registered mail.
  • In preparation for a job applicant’s request for the return of hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above, the Company shall retain the original hiring documents submitted by the job applicant for 180 days from the completion of the recruiting process. If no request is made until the end of this period, all of his/her hiring documents will be destroyed immediately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
