Position : Principal, Compliance

(Intro of the role)

You will be required to quickly establish food products auditing principles with different stakeholder to lead the first line inspectors in completing daily SDP audits to ensure that all food products sold online by Coupang Taiwan comply with Taiwan regulatory requirements.

On the other hand, you will support the global sourcing team in applying for the required product licenses or system registrations to ensure prompt and compliant importation and sales to satisfy our consumers.

What will you do?

Evaluating food products during onboarding process to prevent non-compliant products being onboarded.

review and correct SDP to avoid noncompliant advertising on SDP

Perform random safety testing of food products.

Depending on the type of food ensure that the necessary authorities are logged into the system with correct information.

Regulatory inquiries on ingredient content, nutritional labeling, food and food additives, etc. of related products.

Keeping track of changes in new regulations and amendments to ensure that the company complies with government regulations, and work with national and external stakeholders to find solutions.

Counseling and training vendors to be able to submit products or necessary information in compliance with Taiwan regulations.

Essential Qualifications:

A minimum of 7 years of related experience in food regulatory practice, or background and knowledge in related fields, lab experience is a plus.

Has managed different types of food products, and familiar with imported food testing.

Familiar with relevant product certification procedures when needed.

Familiar with Taiwan's regulatory requirements and have experience in reviewing the content of related product advertisements.

Ability to write reports clearly in English.

Familiar with excel and pivot.

Experience in managing in e-commerce or large retailer is a plus.

Familiarity with Korean food regulations is a plus.
