Position : Principal, Compliance

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Product Safety Compliance Audit to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet all safety and compliance standards and regulations. You will lead a team of auditors, develop audit programs, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in product safety and compliance practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Programs and Execution:

Develop and execute comprehensive audit programs to assess product safety and compliance with relevant regulations.

Conduct on-site and remote compliance audits for product safety compliance.

Review and analyze audit findings, identifying non-compliance issues and opportunities for improvement.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of product safety compliance auditors.

Provide guidance, training, and support to audit team members to ensure effective audit execution.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and commitment to product safety.

Regulatory Compliance:

Stay up-to-date with relevant Dangerous Goods/Environmental regulations and standards.

Interpret and communicate regulatory changes to the organization.

Ensure that products are supplied, and distributed in compliance with applicable regulations.

Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product onboarding, inbounding, quality assurance, supply chain, and legal, to address compliance issues and drive corrective actions.

Communicate audit findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare detailed audit reports, including findings, observations, and recommendations.

Maintain accurate and organized audit records and documentation.

Continuous Improvement:

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product safety and compliance processes.

Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and preventive measures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.

10 years of experience in product safety compliance auditing, with 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.

Strong knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality audit outcomes.

Willingness to travel to conduct on-site audits as needed
