Job Description

The Loss Prevention Manager (LPM) leads all related physical security operations and loss prevention support for Coupang Logistics Services (CLS) throughout Korea.

As an LPM, you will be part of Coupang Global Security (CGS) team and program. You will ensure that CGS Policies and Standards are implemented. You will support the delivery of our business targets and the strengthening of our brand by managing security and loss prevention risks that could impact our employees and customers, affect our business operations, inflict damages to our tangible and non-tangible assets and have adverse impact on our company brand and reputation. You will achieve these objectives by identifying vulnerabilities, preventing risks, responding to on-going incidents and investigating thoroughly security and loss prevention (S&LP) incidents to identify and mitigate root causes to prevent recurrence.

The LPM reports into the Global Director of Security and Loss Prevention. The LPM role covers a 24/7 operation, and you must be flexible to, when necessary, work all shifts, including weekends and/or overnight shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert for all internal and external partners. Identify, promote, and implement risk-based, reliable, consistent, integrated, and cost-effective security measures that are designed based on proven S&LP practices and concepts
  • Partner with internal customers to present and evaluate current and future S&LP services, processes, and initiatives
  • Provide a secure working environment for our employees
  • Evaluate threats, assess risks, and implement risk management strategies
  • Incident response planning, implementation, execution, and management
  • Ensure a high level of compliance with internal and external standards and regulations
  • Address loss mitigation, physical security considerations, and potential and actual workplace violence incidents per policy
  • Oversee and lead investigations of theft and fraud and conduct interviews when appropriate and per policy
  • Conduct S&LP audits and facilitate regular maintenance and troubleshooting of security systems. You will raise the security awareness within the employee population by training small groups in security topics and advising on personnel security matters.
  • Prepare S&LP Weekly Business Review deck. Track and report on key performance indicators
  • Inspire performance excellence from all security services team members and third-party vendors. Lead the way to ensure that Master Service Agreement is met and/or exceeds exceptions. Hold vendors accountable to meet customer demands

Location

  • Each manager will be in charge of different regional sites. Please specify your preferred region.
    - East: Seoul, Gyeonggi, and nearby centers
    - North: Incheon, Goyang, and nearby centers
    - South: Busan, Changwon, Daegu, and nearby centers
    *Managers covering the South region will remain mostly on-site instead of reporting in Seoul.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ equivalent professional experience or military experience
  • 3+ years of experience in law enforcement, security, loss prevention, risk management, supply chain management, or other related field
  • Proven loss prevention program exposure, including experience in a distribution environment,
  • Demonstrable ability to proactively gather the right data from appropriate sources, while considering all the facts and other perspectives
  • 1+ years of experience with MS Office Professional Suite, including Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Influencing skills. Ability to move followers effectively into action, not with coercion but by eliciting their desire and conviction in the vision and values articulated by the organization
  • Communication skills. Ability to identify the customer’s expectation, adjusting language and style to suit the listener
  • Solutions-focused, customer-focused, and delivers excellent follow-up
  • Experience with security equipment such as intrusion detection devices, access control systems, and video review system
  • Experience with various business types such as logistics, warehouse, distribution center, and multi-site loss management.
  • Interviewing and Interrogation experience beneficial such as Wicklander and Zulawski, LPQ, CPP, LPC, CFI or other certifications is a plus
  • Workplace Violence, management and/or Business Continuity experience, is a plus
