Position : Principal, Instock Management

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Product Safety Compliance Audit to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet all safety and compliance standards and regulations. You will lead a team of auditors, develop audit programs, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in product safety and compliance practices.

Team Description:

The Taiwan team is super excited to bring the selection, price, and convenience of Coupang to customers in Taiwan. As we rapidly scale this highly visible new market, we are looking for smart and driven leaders who want to solve tough problems and make a meaningful impact to the lives of customers and vendors in Taiwan. The Instock team is a critical component by managing inventory to build and maintain new selection while controlling costs such as overstock. The team works closely with cross-functional teams including business/vendor managers, supply chain, product, program and finance to deliver a world class e-commerce shopping experience.

What you will do:

  • Work backwards from the needs of the customers and vendors to deliver the right inventory, at the right time, and at the right place.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure that customer in-stock and vendor needs are surpassed
  • Drive business growth by ensuring that customer desired items are always in-stock and sufficiently stocked up
  • Partner with vendors at the right cadence to optimize metrics such as lead-time, and fill-rate
  • Utilize data to effectively prioritize the most impactful actions to deliver key business results.
  • Effectively dive deep to identify the root cause of issues, develop solutions and implement the solve.
  • Manage ordering process and systems to effectively balance competing business priorities.
  • Guide the development of processes and controls to monitor behavior of Forecasting, Inbound, and Inventory Management systems and continuously improve existing capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in the areas of Demand Forecasting, Ordering, Procurement, Inventory Management and Supply Chain.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain-related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with vendors to deliver business results.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail, and ability to influence without authority.
  • Passion to grow and take on increasing responsibility and challenges.
  • Ability to set high standards and drive others to excellence.
  • Ability to effectively use data to complete analyses. Strong Excel proficiency required, SQL and other technical skills are a plus.
  • Ability to set lofty goals with the relentless drive and ownership to constantly challenge what is possible.
  • Experience collaborating with Sales and Operations stakeholders; in e-Commerce and/or Retail industry preferred.
