About the Role:

As GOTechSRE, we take pride in handling “operations as an engineering” problem with automation first approach. The Go Tech Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) within the Global Operations Technology combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems. SRE ensures that AWS Cloud's services—both our internally critical and our externally-visible systems—have reliability, uptime appropriate to customer's needs and a fast rate of improvement. Additionally, SRE’s will keep an ever-watchful eye on our systems capacity and performance. Much of our software development focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and eliminating work through automation. On the Go Tech SRE team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on the complex challenges, while using your expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis and large-scale system design. You will assist in design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions within the GOT org of Coupang.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write product or system development code with reliability in mind.
  • Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Participate in design reviews with peers to decide amongst available technologies.
  • Build and improve monitoring solutions.
  • Build and improve demand forecasting and capacity planning practices.
  • Recruit and develop world-class engineering talent

Essential Qualifications: .

  • 7+ years of experience in software development or maintenance cycle in large tech companies.
  • Prior experience working with large scale web-based Java architectures and JVM configuration, Python & Shell Scripting.
  • Hands-on experience on AWS, EC2, S3, Kafka or equivalent.
  • Experience in designing and running large and complex distributed systems
  • Experience in CI/CD process and release activities such as slow rollout, feature flag, auto-rollback, etc.
  • Excellent communications and collaborations across teams and across functionalities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Professional certifications in cloud platforms, monitoring tools, or related technologies.
  • Previous experience working on a large-scale ecommerce platform.
  • Hands-on experience on DynamoDB, SQS, Elastic Search, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc.
  • Experience in designing and coding large and complex software
