Review and approve Software License Management processes and procedures
Oversees the daily and long-term strategic management of software within the organization

Operational Management

Maintain software standards, validated product lists, and maintenance contracts within the asset management database
Develops and implements procedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles
Assists procurement, financial, and legal departments in analyzing budgets, proposals, and vendor contracts for acquisition, monitoring, and compliance of software assets
Conduct and lead software asset reconciliation and audit activities

Basic Qualification

10+ years equivalent work experience. (Software Asset Management, Experience in multiple SaaS or enterprise applications: ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Salesforce, etc.)
Proven experience in Software Asset Management (Pross design and operation, Software Inventory Management, License Management, Audit Readiness, Budget and Cost Optimization)
Familiarity with various software license terms and conditions
Experience in software procurement, contract negotiation, and vendor relations
Strong background in risk management methodologies as they relate to software compliance.
Strong knowledge of system and software compliance assurance best practices and methodologies.
Analyze large volume of software entitlement and deployment data
Build and manage complex licensing models and optimize our license usage based on key license drivers (headcount, volume)
Evaluate licensing options, named versus processor licensing, on-premise versus cloud, owned versus SaaS, and provide recommendations
Working closely with the various IT groups responsible for multiple IT Assets
Outstanding writing and documentation skills.
Able to conduct research into application issues and products.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Experience working with SAM tools and technology
