Finance Platform and Engineering (FPE) Product team owns the procure-to-cash, order-to-cash and sellers’ settlement experience across various business verticals at Coupang. Our team collaborates with various Engineering, Finance, Seller Experience and Support teams to ensure that all transactions produced by the various platforms at Coupang with financial impact are accurately accounted for to ensure that our suppliers and sellers are paid precisely and on-time.

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and dynamic Principal Product Manager to own and drive the product strategy for how sellers interact with and consume their settlement data through the seller portal. This role focuses on ensuring that sellers have easy, intuitive, and transparent access to critical financial data, empowering them to understand and manage their payments effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap for how to evolve the seller settlement experience
  • Drive end-to-end product development, from ideation and requirements gathering to release and continuous improvement, working closely with engineering, design, data, and finance teams
  • Regularly engage with external customers and internal partner teams to gather product requirements and feedback through discussions, presentations, and preview programs
  • Define and prioritize product features, user stories, and acceptance criteria, maintaining a well-groomed backlog and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality releases
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement, adjusting the roadmap and strategy as needed
  • Communicate product status, progress and insights to stakeholders and leadership, fostering a culture of transparency, collaboration, and data-driven decision making
  • Champion a customer-centric approach to product development, acting as an advocate for user needs and fostering a culture of empathy and innovation

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of product/program management, solutions architecture, or engineering experience, with a track record of delivering complex, large-scale technical products in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset and commitment to evidence-based decision making.
  • Demonstrates the ability to quickly grasp new concepts, technologies, and industry trends, adapting to a constantly evolving business landscape and staying ahead of the curve.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to balance competing priorities, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver results under varying constraints.
  • Consistently works backwards from customers’ needs, ensuring that product decisions are driven by a thorough understanding of user requirements, pain points and jobs to be done.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent degree is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, and industry best practices, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by eCommerce businesses.
  • Experience building and launching Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS).
