Job Overview
The role of Staff Network Engineer L6-2 is to develop and maintain functional and secure networks as per global Coupang Network standards.
Work with Global Network Team and develop, review design, architect and implement and support Network Infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and optimize networks for the business, contribute to Coupang’s Taiwan and Global expansion.
Role requires extensive experience in Network deployment and providing operational support.
Requires good problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture, should be enthusiastic about security and data protection and looking for continuous Improvement in network practices. Staff Network Engineer works with Corporate IT managers and teams, company stakeholders to plan, develop, coordinate, and execute strategies.
Knowledge of Network Infrastructure in Logistics such as Warehouses, Fulfillment centers and Delivery Centers shall be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Design, plan, and implement network infrastructure for Fulfilment Center, Delivery Centers, Corporate Offices and Data Center.
- Design, deploy and support network Infra that encompasses Wi-Fi, Core Networking, SDWAN, Firewalls etc.
- Work closely with stakeholders, understand Business needs and provide appropriate network solutions.
- Ensure High Availability of Network Services
- Identify appropriate network providers and solutions.
- Work with other IT teams to resolve IT related incidents.
- Ensuring the local network is responsive to user demands.
- Scaling network services to serve growing businesses.
- Create, oversee, and evaluate security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
- Monitor network performance and integrity.
- Communicate with users and stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines
- Ensuring operating environments stay safe and secure.
- Experience working in a high-pressured environment with 24x7 on-call responsibilities.
Basic Qualifications
- 12+ years of working with Large Enterprise networks.
- In-depth experience in Cisco Wi-Fi, Switching, Routing, SDWAN, ISE
- Knowledge on Firewall Administration
- Lead the team technically in devising new solutions and developing continuous improvements.
- Solid background in network administration and architecture
- Knowledge in routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), switching, network security
- Familiarity with access control models and network security
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools.
- Solid understanding of network operating systems
- Sharp troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior members in the team.
- Capable of training Help Desk staff on new technologies implemented.
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Update on the emerging network technologies.
- Professional certification (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP)

- Palo Alto - IPSec VPN, GlobalProtect,
- Experience working in startups, ecommerce.
- Knowledge of project management principles.
