Position : Principal I, Compliance

What will you do?

1. Develop and maintain Compliance Checklists/Guidelines for Product Compliance Audits- These checklists will be developed and maintained to test the compliance requirements including Product listing, SDP /labelling requirements, quality check, storage & transportation, product recall reporting and safe disposal related requirements for products across categories.

2. Develop a risk-based plan to conduct audits related to Product Compliance Audits. These reviews would be conducted On-site and Off-site reviews. Review the data related to supplier performance, product returns, customer complaints to analyze potential risks. escalate structural issues that should be approached throughout the company and chase remediation progress

3. Develop a method to collect, retain, and assess applicable laws, regulations, and pertinent standards and conduct research, assessing impact, and communicating results, legislative or regulatory updates to business partners about these applicable laws and regulations.

4. Lead the development and implementation of risk management strategies to ensure the safety and compliance of products sold by third-party sellers.

5. Identify and assess potential risks related to product safety, regulatory compliance, and marketplace policies.

6. Conduct periodic audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

7. Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and industry bodies to stay informed of emerging risks and regulatory changes.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Working experience 7-10+ years, quality assurance, quality controls, and/or quality audit role, especially project management
  • Solves the problem by supporting projects of importance/scale that can affect strategy execution and direction of the strategy
  • Knowledge of food supply chain and enforcement processes in high volume retail industries and related legal requirements
  • Need to have project management skills, strong communication, and vision to get the project completed on time
  • A mix of policy and project management experience
  • Problem solver, Self-driven, Interpersonal skill, Team player
  • Ability to thrive in a high energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are driven in parallel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • + 7 years direct experience in compliance program management within fast-paced, technology driven retail businesses a strong plus
  • Key Competencies: overall process ownership; deals well with ambiguity, functions well and able to clearly define processes in loosely structured situations; comfortable with following up on
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to work independently and autonomously.
  • Good problem solving skill: acts decisively, promptly and confidently. Not afraid to contradict others and proactively offering solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English to deliver presentation and training
