The director of product safety compliance will spearhead our compliance strategy and continuous improvement efforts to ensure our products meet all regulatory, safety, and quality standards. This role will be pivotal in developing and implementing robust audit mechanisms and driving cross-functional collaboration with Product, Fulfillment Center, Compliance Operations and Legal teams to foster an environment of operational excellence and proactive risk management.

Key responsibilities:

• Strategic leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive compliance strategy that aligns with the business goals and regulatory requirements

  • Drive continuous improvement initiative across product safety and compliance operations

• Compliance auditing and monitoring

  • Design and implement mechanisms to audit, monitor and enhance compliance processes

  • Regularly assess compliance performance, identify gaps, and develop actionable improvements plans

• Cross-functional collaboration

  • Cork closely with Product, Fulfillment Centers, Compliance Operations, and Legal teams to integrate safety compliance throughout the compliance lifecycle

  • Facilitate cross-departmental initiatives to ensure alignment and effective communication on compliance matters

• Risk Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential compliance risks

  • Stay abreast of emerging regulatory changes and industry best practices to proactively adjust compliance strategies

• Reporting and Communication

  • Prepare and present detailed reports on compliance performance, audit outcomes, and continuous improvement initiatives to senior leadership

  • Champion a culture of accountability, transparency, and proactive problem-solving within the organization

Qualifications:

• Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in compliance, quality assurance, or product safety, ideally within the e-commerce or consumer goods sector.

• Skills & Expertise

  • Proven track record in leading continuous improvement initiatives and managing complex compliance program

  • Deep understanding of regulatory standards and product safety requirements

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills

  • Excellent communication skills with experience in working collaboratively across diverse teams

  • Experience developing audit frameworks and managing compliance operations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
