Business Development/Strategy Manager

What you'll do:
- Strategy (Chief of Staff team for JP CEO)
- Lead complex cross-functional projects to advance strategic initiatives and optimize day-to-day operations
- Drive annual strategic and investment planning by collaborating with key domain leadership including operation, marketing, sales to define marketing priorities and roadmap
- Work closely with operations, marketing, sales, finance and the CEO to identify important problems and opportunities while driving analysis on important strategic decisions to propel the business forward
- Identify operational weaknesses and help improve or innovate new processes to keep JP teams as efficient as possible
- Business Development
- Restaurant Sales & Partnership (MM B2B)
- Identify and generate leads of Mid Market to Large Size B2B partnership for sales onboarding
- Reach out to potential clients through cold calls, emails, and networking to initiate conversations and qualify leads
- Negotiate terms and conditions with potential clients together with Sales team
- Business Partnership
- Identify and secure new business partnerships by building relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs, and presenting how Coupang's services can add value
- JP Product Champion
- Identify JP product requirements of customer, merchant and rider products and deliver requirements to core Product development team and make sure the deliveries
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in Strategy/Business Development
- Experience supporting a senior leadership in a chief-of-staff capacity
- Data Analytics
- High level Excel/Google Spreadsheet skill for data analytics pulling it from large dataset
- Basic SQL or Python skills to handle large sets of unstructured data and synthesizing into business insights using Excel or Google Suite
- Experience in data visualization
- Excellent analytical skills and intuition for business. Passionate about framing business questions with data, translating business needs into strategies, and carrying out tactics and process improvements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as previous experience with executive communications in Japanese. English speaking is plus
- Demonstrated track record of critical thinking and robust project management
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with high degree of ambiguity
