About the Team:

The Coupang Taiwan Privacy Compliance team is a department responsible for managing and supervising personal information protection risks that may arise in connection with Coupang Taiwan’s various businesses and operations. In order to comply with personal information protection-related obligations required by the regulations, we are responsible for presenting specific internal standards and work processes at Coupang.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive privacy compliance program, including policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations, such as MODA.
• Conduct regular privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and risk assessment to evaluate data processing activities and identify areas of risk.
• Provide expert advice to internal teams on data privacy and protection requirements, including data breach prevention and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with Legal, IT, Engineering, HR, and other department to ensure alignment with privacy regulations in various operations.
• Monitor regulatory developments and emerging privacy trends, and recommend updates to policies and procedures as necessary.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory authorities during audits or investigations.
• Design and deliver privacy training programs to employees to raise awareness to privacy obligations and best practices.
• Identify the personal information flow to ensure personal information used within opt-in purpose.
• Report to leadership on privacy matters, risks, and program effectiveness.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related area.
• Ability to review and provide guidance on privacy compliance issues.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and solve project-related challenges
• More than 10 years of experience in privacy compliance, legal, or data protection roles, preferably within a multinational or regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of Taiwan privacy law and regulations, including GDPR and emerging privacy trends.
• Excellent understanding of information governance, data security, and data lifecycle management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including executives, Legal, IT, Engineering and regulatory authorities.
• Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and lead organizational change.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Holds domestic or international certifications related to privacy compliance.
• High level of experience and understanding of cloud-based service environments.
• High level of experience of eCommerce business.
