Role Overview
The role of the Endpoint Architect is to analyze current endpoint technology stacks and assess the overall endpoint solution architecture to match technical solutions to organizational vision and strategy. This position is primarily responsible for the development of an endpoint management vision by designing architectural roadmap utilizing the industry best practices and solution options in alignment with the business objectives of the organizations. The Endpoint Architect is a thought leader who understands scalable endpoint architecture and who sets and manages performance expectations for Coupang overall endpoint devices and systems to optimize the company’s end user experience.
The Endpoint Architect reviews, designs, and manages complex endpoint device infrastructure and develops scalable enterprise-wide endpoint technology solutions across multiple platforms such as Windows OS, MacOS and Chrome OS while collaborating with End User Service, Unified Communications & Collaboration, Global Applications, IT infrastructure and InfoSec teams to develop advanced systems that move Coupang Corporate IT’s capability up to the next level.
The Endpoint Architect will directly report to Head of End User Technology and closely work with other IT functional leaders in Corporate IT to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions and optimal operating model in line with the organization’s strategic vision.
What You Will Do
- Build, design and architect endpoint technology solutions and roadmap at the company-wide level.
- Define and lead strategy, tactical planning and execution for scalable and reliable endpoint systems that optimize the end user experience and endpoint device management.
- Strengthen Coupang’s endpoint management and operation and establish governance model to make systematic process and policy for Corporate IT.
- Continue to study and adopt new technology and solutions to enable scalable endpoint systems and enhance stable performance & end user experience.
- Build various of endpoint systems and solutions that are seen as best practices in the industry.
- Advise company-wise technical challenges and present new method on industry
- Oversee global endpoint productivity and solve the ultimate IT problems.
- Innovate from experience to unknown solutions. Work with inside and outside experts to build industry best practices and standards.
- Drive innovation and collaboration between technology and operations in order to meet business requirements.
- Hold accountable for having a transparent communication process that enables any stakeholders within Coupang to keep track of what and how you're doing
- Be unbound by system and organizational boundaries when it comes to problem-solving and determining what is best for the business at all levels.
- Engage with Corporate IT stakeholders across the group, understanding their needs and working through the complexity and conflicting goals.
- Establish and manage end-to-end processes with various stakeholders in collecting, evaluating and fulfilling their requirements.
- Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of endpiont solutions and systems.
- Align processes, roadmap planning and department goals with overall strategy
- Provide support and insight into significant organizational changes
- Evaluate, plan and provide leadership to strategic technology initiatives
- Be able to clearly explain IT systems/solutions problem to peers, cross-functional teams, and company-wide, with data and analysis providing detailed feedback and solutions.
- Establish entire annual project portfolio plan for Corporate IT with stakeholders, track and manage project resources & status regularly
- Collaborate with IT leadership team on business analytics initiative and provide expertise for transformative analytics that can be leveraged to help Corporate IT move up to the next level in the digital transformation capability from endpoint perspective.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field and/or business required.
- 15+ years experience in a successful IT leadership role within a large-scale enterprise
- An in-depth understanding of technologies and practices relevant to Endpoint Architect role
- Demonstrate ability to lead cross-departmental collaboration on strategic initiatives
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills and very engaging interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of working cross-functionally across multiple teams.
- Broad and depth of experience providing various endpoint architecture of systems including on-premise and SaaS based solutions.
- Ability to work with multiple groups and track priorities in an ever-evolving environment.
- Communicate effectively with executive management to ensure vertical operational alignment.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles.
- Proficiency in both Korean and English

Document Return Policy
