Job Overview:

As the Software Development Manager of the Cloud Infrastructure Team in Coupang Pay, this role will focus on Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure (AWS & On Prem), Systems, Network and IAM system management focused on achieving Availability, Scalability, Efficiency and Regulatory Compliance outcomes to enable the growth of our FinTech business.

This role will be responsible for diving deep into business problems, understanding current customer pain points, evaluating existing system design and implementations, developing automation for infrastructure management and working closely with product engineering teams / leaders to design and architect new systems & services leveraging both on premise and cloud infrastructure supporting multiple geographies. Partnership with other Finanical Instituations is expected.

Key Skills and Role Responsibilities:

Significant experience managing and deploying large scale cloud infrastructure and services in Hybrid Cloud environments including OS, Network, Storage, Security, Monitoring, Logging & Security management

Strong experience in Cloud automation technologies like Terraform, Ansible or Cloud Formation.

Ability to envison and define a roadmap for scalable and reliable growth of cloud infrastructure to support business objectives

Solves complex technical problems in Public Clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Private Cloud environment and improves Operational Excellence

Strong ability to deep dive to understand current cloud infra and systems architecture to provide strategic partnership and improvements on network usage, role management, CDN, domains, Hybrid Cloud

Expert technical influence over multiple teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience.

Strong problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail

Provide a roadmap and vision for scalable and robust growth for cloud and on-premise infrastructure

Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Security, Privacy and Internal Audit stakeholders and ensure Regulatory Compliance

Lead a team of 10+ Cloud Infrastructure engineers, promoting high degree of technical excellence and engineeirng practices, as well as promoting career growth of team members

Managing the relationship & delivery from Outsourcing providers

Ability to create and manage to an annual budget for Cloud Infrastructure spending

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of Public Cloud and On Premise infrastructure Design, Deployment, Operations
  • 3+ years of demonstrable experiene building and operating infrastructure as code
  • 3+yrs of experience managing a team of Infrastructure engineers
  • Being comfortable with Windows and multiple flavors of Linux
  • Excellent cross-group collaboration & outstanding verbal and written communication.

Preferred:

  • Prior expereince with Financial Services Regulatory Compliance & Audit Support in Korea & abroad. For ex FSS, ISMS-P, PCI-DSS etc.
  • Prior extensive expereince with AWS, as a public cloud choice

In preparation for a job applicant’s request for the return of hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above, the Company shall retain the original hiring documents submitted by the job applicant for 180 days from the completion of the recruiting process. If no request is made until the end of this period, all his/her hiring documents will be destroyed immediately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
  5. The above paragraphs 1 - 4 shall only apply when the labor-related laws of Korea govern the application. They are otherwise not applicable.
