Team Description

Eats Finance works in close partnership with Coupang Eats business leaders across all functions. The team is responsible for developing the business and financial plan required to achieve strategic plans and goals, drive value-adding decisions and track performance on growth, margins, and cashflows. The team also supports modeling for new product launches, supplier negotiations and customer analysis.
The role is highly analytical, with a focus on fostering collaboration across stakeholders, challenging status-quo, and encouraging open dialogue.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with Business to understand day to day activities that affect pnl of Eats and understand/act as a guardian
  • Own forecast of pnl line items to correctly reflect business into financial numbers
  • Perform dive deep analysis to spot bottlenecks and challenges to achieve goals
  • Perform analysis to understand variance between forecast and actuals
  • Drive business and tech teams to meet financial goals that Eats has

Expectations and Responsibilities:

  • Strong mental modelling capacity and ability to model out logic-driven forecasts. FP&A core function is to build strong functional and dynamic models with end goal of minimizing variance with Actual month-end closing numbers
  • Hands-on and self-starter attitude:
    if we see AOV drop last week, does the candidate have the curiosity and attitude to dive-deeper
    and bridge the gap? Did customer incentives change? If it did, was there
    trade-off with overall GMV? Can there be after-effect of improved/worse-off
    retention? Suitable cost targets given different parameters (CX, weather, seasonality, etc.)
  • Ability to wear different hats and work in ambiguity

Essential Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience in finance roles (tech/online sector, banking/accounting and consulting)
  • Expertise in financial modeling (pricing simulations, cost-benefit and ROI analysis) and Excel
  • Analytical thinking and hard skills: SQL and dashboard creation
  • Adept at communication and working cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications

  • SQL
  • Financial qualification (CPA, CFA, etc.)

Document Return Policy

  1. This notification is given pursuant to Article 11 (6) of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.
