We are proud to have the best of both worlds — a startup culture with the resources of a large global public company. This fuels us to continue our growth and launch new services at the speed we have been since our inception. We are all entrepreneurs surrounded by opportunities to drive new initiatives and innovations. At our core, we are bold and ambitious people that like to get our hands dirty and make a hands-on impact. At Coupang, you will see yourself, your colleagues, your team, and the company grow every day.

Our mission to build the future of commerce is real. We push the boundaries of what’s possible to solve problems and break traditional tradeoffs. Join Coupang now to create an epic experience in this always-on, high-tech, and hyper-connected world.

Role Overview

At Coupang, we’re building something bold—not just in commerce and technology, but in how we connect with the world’s most exceptional talent. We’re seeking a Talent Community Manager to help lead a confidential, high-impact initiative designed to attract and engage top-tier Korean heritage tech leaders around the world. It’s a unique opportunity to design immersive experiences and cultivate a leadership pipeline in a way that feels personal, premium, and ahead of its time. You’ll join a small, agile team operating at the intersection of strategic sourcing, community design, and storytelling—with a mission to spark authentic connections between senior global talent and Coupang’s most inspiring leaders.

What You Will do

1. Strategic Talent Acquisition Campaigns

  • Design creative, targeted outreach strategies to identify and attract top-tier senior tech professionals in global markets like the U.S, UK, Singapore, Australia, and Korea
  • Build pipelines through collaborative partnerships, invite-only events, private networks, and unique programs
  • Work alongside recruiters to complement and amplify existing sourcing efforts with a fresh, relationship-first approach

2. Relationship-Based Engagement Programs

  • Architect and lead highly curated engagement experiences—private dinners, roundtables, mentorship programs, tech conference, digital activations—that bring top talent into Coupang’s orbit
  • Build trust and familiarity through shared values, peer networks, and subtle storytelling—not sales pitches
  • Create moments where future leaders experience Coupang’s culture and vision in a way that’s authentic and lasting

3. Conversion Strategy & Funnel Optimization

  • Develop personalized journeys that transition engaged talent into meaningful conversations with Coupang executives
  • Measure what matters: depth of engagement, quality of interactions, and progression toward interview and hire
  • Partner with senior recruiters to create seamless handoffs and amplify shared success

What Success Looks Like

  • Global senior tech leaders are proactively reaching out to learn more about Coupang
  • Top talent is participating in your programs—and leaving inspired
  • Candidates you’ve engaged are entering the recruiting funnel already aligned and excited
  • Measurable increase in leadership-level interviews and hires originating from your programs

Basic Qualifications

  • Have 5+ years in employer branding, community marketing, recruiting strategy, or experience design
  • Think like a brand strategist, build like a founder, and communicate like a storyteller, and close like a dealmaker
  • Thrive in ambiguity, love testing new ideas, and know how to turn vision into action
  • Believe that the best candidates don’t just apply—they’re inspired to join
  • Want to be part of a small team piloting the future of talent engagement at scale

Why This Role is Unique

This role is part of a first-of-its-kind initiative at Coupang—one that complements and enhances the incredible work our recruiting teams already do. While our recruiters continue to lead the way in sourcing top talent through established channels, this team is focused on exploring new, creative ways to build relationships with future leaders—often long before they consider a career move.

It’s not about replacing what works. It’s about experimenting with what’s next.

If you’re looking for a role that blends strategy, creativity, and impact—where you’ll design something truly new with the support of a high-performing team—this might be your moment.
