Position : Senior Translator

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Chinese-English translator to support seamless written communication across departments and with external partners. In this role, you’ll not only translate a wide range of materials with precision and cultural fluency but also coordinate translation workflows, ensuring timely and consistent delivery of high-quality language assets across the organization.You’ll be part of a diverse, multilingual team and play a key role in enhancing communication clarity and cross-functional collaboration.

What You’ll Do

• Translate a variety of materials (emails, documents, presentations, etc.) between Chinese and English, ensuring accuracy, appropriate tone, and contextual clarity.
• Coordinate incoming translation requests by assigning, tracking, and prioritizing tasks among internal translators and resources.
• Review and edit translations for accuracy, consistency, grammar, tone, and terminology.
• Support the development and maintenance of terminology databases, translation memories, and style guides.
• Communicate with requesters to clarify context, manage expectations, and ensure satisfaction with translation outputs.
• Collaborate with interpreters to promote alignment across spoken and written outputs.
• Train and mentor junior translators or language support staff when needed.
• Maintain accurate records of translation projects and manage version control.

Essential Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in English-Chinese translation, applied linguistics, or a related field.
• Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese, with strong written communication skills in both languages.
• 3 to 5 years of professional translation experience (in-house or freelance), ideally in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Familiarity with machine-assisted translation tools and basic project coordination.
• Detail-oriented, with excellent time management and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience coordinating or managing translation workflows or vendors.
• Comfortable using CAT tools (e.g., Trados, memoQ, Phrase) and terminology management systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with both language and non-language stakeholders.
• Ability to handle multiple requests simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
