Position: Senior Principal, Legal Counsel (Logistics)

Coupang is seeking a seasoned legal professional with deep expertise in the logistics domain and/or broader relevant experience to support the continued growth of our logistics operations in Taiwan. This role plays a key part in enabling Coupang to meet the evolving needs of our customers.

What you will do

• Provide comprehensive legal support to enable the seamless integration of Coupang’s logistics systems, including fulfillment centers and logistics vehicles.
• Lead leasing transactions for logistics facilities and support the development of new logistics centers. Manage and resolve any related disputes.
• Review and negotiate vendor contracts related to construction, procurement, insurance, carrier services, and other logistics-related assets.
• Support broader legal matters including labor dispute, compliance and government relations, beyond the core logistics scope.
• Deliver strategic legal solutions that align with business needs, balancing growth with risk management.

Essential Qualifications

• Over 7 years of legal experience as a qualified lawyer in Taiwan, or as a foreign-qualified lawyer with substantial experience working in Taiwan.
• Relevant industry experience in real estate, construction, logistics, or supply chain.

Preferred Qualifications

• A combination of law firm and in-house legal experience.
• Prior experience in the e-commerce sector, especially related to fulfillment, logistics, or employment/staffing matters.
• Strong command of Chinese; proficiency in English is a plus.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and navigate ambiguity.
• A strong appetite for learning and a proactive approach to new challenges.
