Team Description

Coupang’s Korea Benefits Management (KBM) team is dedicated to designing, operating, and continuously improving employee /benefit programs that enhance the quality of life for our workforce. From practical benefits such as group accident insurance, health checkups, and family event support to community-building initiatives like employee clubs, the KBM team ensures that Coupang remains a great place to work. We also manage in-house facilities such as daycare centers and cafeterias, and oversee general administrative services including corporate vehicles and mailroom operations to support a productive and comfortable work environment.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Benefits Specialist to join our team and help us elevate our employee experience through thoughtful and data-driven benefit program management.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Plan, operate, and improve benefits programs (e.g., daycare centers, family event support)
  • Support benefit-related infrastructure projects in alignment with relocation and facility setup
  • Manage contracts and relationships with external service providers related to benefits programs
  • Provide support and resolution for employee inquiries and issues related to benefits programs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth execution of benefits initiatives
  • Analyze data to derive insights and propose enhancements to existing benefits offerings

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in HR or general administration, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in employee benefits
  • Proven track record of managing benefits programs from planning to execution
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from data
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Native fluency in Korean and professional proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in opening or closing in-house daycare centers, including planning, licensing, and operational setup
  • Work experience at company with more than 1,000 headcounts or multi-national companies with a strong external benchmarking network in HR or benefits practices

Please be informed that the job applicant is required to pay the postage on the registered mail.
  • In preparation for a job applicant’s request for the return of hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above, the Company shall retain the original hiring documents submitted by the job applicant for 180 days from the completion of the recruiting process. If no request is made until the end of this period, all of his/her hiring documents will be destroyed immediately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
