Job Overview (Staff Back-End Engineer)

RAB (Rocket Application Delivery) is a low-code/no-code platform which allows creation of variety of apps without requiring programming expertise. Currently there are more than 2000 applications running with most of them being business-critical for the SCM Systems and other Coupang teams. At the RAB team you will be involved in designing and implementing various new features, maintaining and updating the existing code base, communicate with the RAB users and help expanding the scope and reach of the RAB Platform within Coupang.

Key Responsibilities

    • Key code contributor to a new features for the RAB Platform;
    • Design the architecture of part of RAB Platform and business applications;
    • Review/research new technologies when developing business apps/features;
    • Ensure source code is released with high test coverage and improve the code quality.

Qualifications

    • Experience building complex, high-performance, and highly available distributed software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
    • 7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams in a fast-moving environment.
    • 7+ years of experience in developing and operating backend services and web applications.
    • Strong familiarity developing with Java/Kotlin and Spring Framework as well as experience in an AWS environment.
    • Experience with NextJS/Typescript and Python preferred.
    • Extensive experience in managing mission critical services with high throughput and low latency.
    • BS in Computer Science, EE, or other engineering fields. MS preferred.
    • Experience with Git system for version control
    • Experience with relational database
    • Object-oriented design and development capabilities

Preferred

    • Service development and operation experience in AWS environment
    • Development experience aiming code quality enhancement
    • Experience with E-Commerce service development
    • Experience in automating build/test/deploy
    • Experience with bulk data processing using NoSQL(Memcached, Redis)
    • Agile experience

If no request is made until the end of this period, all of his/her hiring documents will be destroyed immediately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
