Role Overview

You will own the consolidated view of the entire enterprise, serving as the central hub that connects our commercial Finance, corporate, and operational teams. As the Head of Central FP&A, you will lead the team responsible for the company-wide financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis. Your mission is to provide a holistic and unbiased view of the company’s financial health, enabling senior leadership to make informed, data-driven strategic decisions.

What You Will Do

• Corporate Planning & Forecasting:

• Orchestrate and own the entire corporate financial planning calendar, including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), quarterly re-forecasts, and long-range strategic plans.

• Develop and maintain the consolidated corporate financial model, ensuring its accuracy, scalability, and integrity as the "single source of truth."

• Partner with business unit finance leaders (e.g., Retail, Marketing, Operations) to consolidate inputs, challenge assumptions, and build a cohesive company-wide forecast.

• Manage planning for corporate P&L line items including headcount, T&E, and other corporate overhead.

• Performance Management & Variance Analysis:

• Lead the monthly and quarterly financial reporting process, delivering insightful "plan vs. actual" variance analysis to the executive leadership team.

• Go beyond what happened to explain why. Distill complex financial results into a clear, concise narrative that identifies key trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Develop and prepare materials for executive business reviews, CEO/CFO staff meetings, and Board of Director presentations.

• Strategic Analysis & Insights:

• Serve as the analytical engine for the CFO, conducting ad-hoc analyses on key business drivers, profitability, cash flow, and potential investments.

• Develop frameworks and models to analyze strategic initiatives, understand operating leverage in the business, and assess ROI on major capital and operating expenditures.

• Partner with Investor Relations to support earnings calls by providing data, analysis, and key talking points on financial performance.

• Leadership & Process Excellence:

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of FP&A professionals, fostering a culture of intellectual curiosity, accountability, and business partnership.

• Drive continuous improvement in our financial planning processes and systems. Identify and implement tools and technologies (e.g., EPM/CPM systems) to drive efficiency and deeper insight.

• Establish best practices and standardized reporting templates to ensure consistency and quality across the entire finance organization.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience: 12+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role within a central FP&A function.

• Industry Expertise: Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is essential. E-commerce, tech, or complex retail experience is strongly preferred. Public company experience is a significant plus.

• Technical Skills: Expert-level financial modeling and analytical skills are non-negotiable. Advanced Excel is a given. Deep experience with enterprise planning systems (e.g., Anaplan, Planful, Adaptive Insights, Oracle Hyperion) is critical. SQL proficiency is highly desirable.

• Strategic Mindset: You have the ability to toggle seamlessly between the big picture and the finest details. You can see the forest and the trees, and you know how they connect.

• Executive Communication & Presence: You are an exceptional storyteller with the ability to synthesize complex information and present it to the most senior audiences, including the C-suite and the Board. Your credibility is instant.

• Leadership: A proven team builder, mentor, and leader who can attract top talent and develop a world-class team.

• Attributes: You possess unimpeachable integrity, a strong sense of ownership, and a bias for action. You are calm under pressure and can manage tight deadlines and competing priorities with ease.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field. MBA and/or CPA is strongly preferred.
