Role Overview

Coupang Global Communications is hiring a PR Data Specialist to safeguard the accuracy and credibility of data used in our public communications. This role serves as the senior gatekeeper for externally referenced numbers and claims, ensuring they are correct, consistent, and cleared with the right internal owners before release.

You will lead cross-functional coordination to source and validate data for press releases, announcements, leadership materials, and other external-facing content. You will also own the team’s data verification workflows and standards, enabling faster execution without compromising accuracy.

What You Will Do

  • Validate all numbers, metrics, and data points included in external-facing materials (press releases, announcements, statements, speeches, presentations, etc.) to ensure accuracy and external credibility.
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders (BI, Finance, Operations, Business teams, and other data owners) to source, confirm, and approve the data required for PR materials.
  • Maintain and manage a centralized view of commonly used PR metrics, ensuring consistent definitions and usage across all communications.
  • Identify discrepancies or potential risks early, proactively flagging issues and driving alignment with data owners before materials are finalized.
  • Own and improve the communications data workflow by building simple, reliable processes for data requests, approvals, verification, and version control.
  • Track and refresh key KPIs frequently used in external messaging, ensuring the Communications team always works from the latest approved figures.
  • Provide data-backed inputs and context to communications leaders when needed, especially for high-impact announcements or sensitive topics.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of experience in PR, corporate communications, business analysis, data operations, or related fields, with substantial ownership of high-stakes external communications support.
  • Strong ability to interpret and validate business data with high accuracy (financial, operational, customer, performance metrics).
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally in complex, fast-moving environments and driving alignment under tight timelines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and discomfort with “almost right.”
  • Confident escalation and risk-spotting instinct for public-facing claims.
  • Professional-level English required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in e-commerce, tech, logistics, or other high-growth industries.
  • Prior experience supporting PR, IR, marketing, or leadership communications teams.
