Role Overview

The Director, Onsite Merchandising will lead demand shaping and onsite experience optimization to drive rapid GMV growth and elevate customer engagement. This role owns the strategy and execution of onsite merchandising assets, customer journey enablement, and large-scale campaign orchestration, working cross-functionally with senior leaders across Product, Tech, Finance, Marketing, Category, CRM, and Design.

This is a highly visible leadership role with direct impact on business performance, customer experience, and long-term platform innovation.

What You Will Do

  • Business Growth & Demand Shaping

Own and drive onsite demand shaping strategy to accelerate customer engagement and commercial performance.
Deliver ≥20% month-over-month GMV growth, with strong accountability for core performance KPIs including CTR and CVR. Translate business goals into scalable onsite merchandising strategies that drive traffic conversion and basket expansion.

  • Onsite Merchandising & Product Innovation

Lead the creation of innovative onsite merchandising assets, tailored to different customer segments and shopping missions.
Partner closely with Product and Tech teams to design and launch new product features that improve discovery, relevance, and conversion. Champion AI-led creative and personalization tools, enabling dynamic content, personalized design, and data-driven user experiences.

  • Customer Journey & Channel Enablement

Enable a seamless end-to-end user journey across onsite experiences and marketing channels.
Ensure onsite merchandising strategies are tightly integrated with CRM, performance marketing, and brand initiatives.

  • Campaign & Event Leadership

Own planning and execution of major commercial events andncampaigns (e.g., CNY, 618, Double 11, seasonal mega sales).
Maximize business impact through strategic assortment presentation, thematic storytelling, and real-time optimization during campaigns.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership

Act as a key strategic partner to Finance, Product, Tech, Category Management, CRM, Design, and Marketing teams.
Provide thought leadership, align stakeholders, and drive execution excellence across complex, matrixes organizations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience within eCommerce, retail, or internet services environments.
  • Experience working in high-growth, fast-paced organizations with large transaction volumes.
  • Deep understanding of traffic optimization, conversion funnels, and onsite performance levers.
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and launch product features that materially improve customer engagement.
  • Experience building or leveraging AI-driven creative, personalization, or recommendation solutions is highly preferred.
  • Data-driven decision maker, comfortable working with performance metrics, experimentation, and business cases.
  • Strong track record of driving GMV growth and traffic conversion at scale through onsite or product-led strategies.
