Position: Construction Manager, TW Logistics
Role Summary
The Construction Manager will manage construction projects across their delivery lifecycle, covering planning, contractor engagement, construction execution, inspection, acceptance, and handover. This role will coordinate project scope, schedule, quality, technical requirements, and stakeholder dependencies to support Coupang’s logistics and site expansion in Taiwan. The position requires the ability to interpret construction drawings, schedules, and technical specifications, while maintaining clear progress visibility and driving timely closure of quality issues and construction incidents. The role will combine remote construction oversight with on-site intervention when site surveys, issue coordination, incident response, or quality acceptance are required.
What will you do?
• Lead construction projects from planning and contractor engagement through construction, acceptance, and operational handover, establishing clear control points and delivery ownership across each stage.
• Oversee site execution and contractor performance by reviewing daily reports, conducting site visits when required, coordinating construction interfaces, and confirming milestone completion.
• Review construction drawings, project schedules, technical specifications, material submissions, construction plans, and inspection documentation to identify conflicts, omissions, dependencies, and compliance issues.
• Establish inspection and acceptance criteria, manage nonconformities and construction incidents, preserve supporting evidence, coordinate corrective actions, and drive issues through reinspection and closure.
• Align internal functions, designers, contractors, and operational stakeholders by documenting decisions, responsibilities, action owners, deadlines, dependencies, and escalation points.
• Produce timely project updates that compare planned and actual progress, explain variances, identify schedule, quality, cost, or interface risks, and define accountable corrective actions.
Basic Qualifications
• Demonstrated construction project management experience with clearly defined project scope, timeline, personal responsibilities, decision boundaries, and delivery outcomes.
• Experience managing site activities or new-site construction, including contractor coordination, construction sequencing, site inspections, milestone acceptance, and issue resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to read and assess construction drawings, project schedules, and technical specifications.
• Experience establishing construction quality or inspection processes and managing defects, nonconformities, or construction incidents through closure.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate across engineering, operations, procurement, design, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Ability to prepare structured progress reports, escalate material risks promptly, and maintain action-owner and due-date tracking.
• A degree, formal professional training, or verified professional experience in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Structural Engineering, or another related engineering field.
Preferred Qualifications
• A valid professional license as a Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer, Architectural Engineer, or Architect, with verifiable issuing authority and validity status.
• Experience delivering logistics centers, warehouses, industrial facilities, business locations, operating sites, or logistics stations.
• Experience managing multiple or distributed construction sites through contractor daily reports, photographs, digital records, scheduled surveys, milestone inspections, and risk-triggered site intervention.
• Experience managing major renovation, expansion, relocation, facility build-out, or other multi-stage construction projects from planning through acceptance and handover.
• Experience reviewing quantity calculations, drawing coordination, construction interfaces, material submissions, construction method statements, schedule-risk assessments, or change-impact analyses.
• Experience preparing project status reports, risk registers, action trackers, construction daily-report reviews, meeting records, responsibility matrices, or management escalation summaries.
• Experience managing equipment installation, facility works, material acceptance, root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, or cross-contractor interface incidents.
• (Experience in standardized multi-site rollout, store construction, service-location build-out, or operational-facility delivery.)
