Job Overview

Financial management is crucial to the performance and success of any company. The roles and responsibilities of the Coursera Finance team include accounting, treasury, tax, financial reporting, analysis, planning, budgeting, and compliance. Problem solvers at heart, this team works to fuel Coursera’s growth by developing creative solutions in response to accounting and finance challenges.

Coursera is seeking a highly motivated Treasury Analyst to become an integral part of our dynamic global team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Treasury, this hands-on role will oversee day-to-day treasury activities. Collaboration is key as you will work closely with the accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable teams. Additionally, you will actively contribute to ad-hoc projects within the Accounting/Finance team and with cross-functional teams. This position offers a unique opportunity to delve into treasury operations and its role in supporting functions such as order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and more. As a Treasury Analyst at Coursera, you will have the opportunity to make an impact at a high-growth company, while gaining valuable experience in the field and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development of financial plans, analyzing economic trends, and managing the company's investment portfolio
  • Assist with preparing cash flow projections, manage daily cash positioning, and execute funds transfers as necessary
  • Maintain daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly treasury reports and dashboards, including compliance reporting
  • Develop relationships with bank representatives, recommend products that may benefit operations, and act as liaison for accounts payable/receivable inquiries as they arise
  • Maintain, monitor and analyze bank fees, including asset management fees, credit card processing fees, and other bank related fees
  • Audit all open bank accounts; confirm signers, confirm correct users on all bank systems, and monitor the accuracy of bank documentation for completion of quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) management controls and annual Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR) reporting

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of Treasury experience preferably in cash and liquidity management, investments, and foreign exchange
  • Understanding of finance principles, financial markets, economic conditions, cash management, risk assessment, business analytics, and financial modeling
  • Experience with financial data and market trends
  • Proficiency in common office software, such as Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
  • Demonstrates adaptability and willingness to embrace new ideas, contributing to a dynamic global team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in utilizing various bank applications including, but not limited to Bank of America CashPro and HSBCNet
  • Familiarity with US and international banking know-your-customer (KYC) requirements and cash management products
  • Possesses knowledge of payment service providers and alternative payment methods, such as Stripe, Braintree, Wallets
  • Background in U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
