Job Description:
The Gopuff System Engineer is responsible for managing employee identity within Okta and Google, while also acting as the subject matter expert for 4 or more applications used by our organization of over 10k employees. This engineer will work closely with business partners to integrate their applications into Okta for Single Sign-On (SSO) and provisioning, and provide recommendations for compensating controls when SSO and provisioning are not an option. Additionally, the System Engineer will serve as Tier 3 support for escalation once Tier 1 and Tier 2 have concluded that an issue is systems-related.
Responsibilities:
Manage employee identity within Okta, Google, and Azure AD, ensuring all users have the appropriate access and permissions to company resources
Act as the subject matter expert for 4 or more applications used by the organization, providing support to end-users and ensuring the applications are running optimally
Collaborate with business partners to integrate their applications into Okta for SSO and provisioning
Provide recommendations for compensating controls when SSO and provisioning are not an option
Serve as Tier 3 support for escalation once Tier 1 and Tier 2 have concluded that the issue is systems-related
Work with the Security team to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements
Configure and deploy IT infrastructure resources related to networking, databases, and virtual machines.
Document system configurations, processes, and procedures
Skills/Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- At least 3 years of experience in identity and access management, preferably with Okta and Google
- Experience with SSO and provisioning protocols such as SAML, OIDC, and SCIM
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- A customer-centric mindset
