Who we are looking for:
Rover’s International Business is responsible for scaling revenue in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe including Spain, Germany, France and Italy. We are looking for a candidate who can drive forward complex programs and projects that involve cross-teams including marketing, digital product, finance and data analytics. The main objective will be to improve our conversion rate and customer lifetime value (LTV) across the set of countries managed by the international team. To achieve so, the candidate will be operating on the following levers among many: digital product, repeat purchase frequency, pricing, fee structure, cancellation rates, and cost reductions. This is a quantitative-oriented role, so effectiveness at data analysis and critical thinking is a must.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Accelerate scalable conversion rate drivers outside the US through identification of international-specific product bets and supporting of global ones
  • Clarify business needs, align, and ensure delivery of user research effort across all depts that target specifically the international markets, coordinating with the global user research team
  • Identify size and drive key opportunities to drive penetration of our cat customer segment while identifying opportunities to improve yield of dog service types with disproportionate importance in int’l countries
  • Identify localization process and delivery improvements across product and lifecycle (CRM) in partnerships with the localization and engineering teams
  • Drive repeat frequency improvement in int'l markets through identification, sizing, prioritization, and execution working alongside global teams in the Product and Lifecycle (CRM) teams
  • Identify, size and drive - in partnership with global teams - opportunities to decrease cancellation rates and increase take rates and ABVs while mitigating tax exposure. Own yearly and monthly forecasting of cancellation rates, ABVs, and repeat rates for all international markets
  • Partner with the procurement team to drive forward contract negotiations with external vendors with relevant international costs to hit cost and service level objectives

Your Minimum Qualifications:

  • Min 5 years experience driving cross-functional program outcomes in a growth environment
  • Highly analytically independent - able to use data to solve complex problems in Excel/Google Sheets and pick up SQL if needed
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to define and execute against clear timelines while driving forward stakeholders
  • Experience evaluating opportunities based on business impact and cost, while effectively prioritizing them based on opportunity size and turning them into clear roadmaps
  • Clear and structure communication style coupled with the ability to influence and partner with leaders and diverse teams to drive towards critical decisions and deliver outcomes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to smoothly transition from working on specific details to high-level strategy
  • Fluent in English (C2). This is the official Rover language and it’s used every day with every stakeholder and communication. German or French are a bonus
  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with software-related product and analytics teams
  • Experience in online marketplaces
  • Strong understanding of conversion rate and customer lifetime value (LTV) dynamics in online businesses
  • Experience in program management or business development across one or more of the following countries: Germany, France, UK
