Job Description:

Join us and help define and integrate the next generation of avionics and payloads into our aircraft products.

What you'll do:

  • Own and support flight critical avionics selection from concept development through production.
  • Integrate cutting edge avionic systems and payloads into the V-BAT aircraft.
  • Lead key stakeholders within Shield AI to identify strategies to meet customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain avionics requirements and architecture.
  • Drive execution through product design lifecycle.
  • Work cross-functionally with product management, electrical, mechanical, thermal, embedded, software, production, and supply chain.
  • Drive schedule and deliverables for hardware products.
  • Resolve technical challenges with a high degree of analytical expertise and originality.
  • Evaluate design performance against requirements.
  • Develop and implement process improvement methods to optimize design, test, and production efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 4 years and a master’s degree; or 2 years with a PhD; or equivalent work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline, such as Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Have led a cross-functional engineering team in at least one product design cycle to deliver a major feature, function, or design aspect.
  • Experience integrating an off the shelf or 3rd party developed device, module, function into a larger system/product.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbally.
  • Demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others

Total package details:
Regular employee positions: Salary within range listed above + Bonus + Benefits + Equity (if applicable)
Temporary employee positions: Hourly within range listed above + temporary benefits package (applicable after 60 days of employment)
