About the Role:

The Financial Analyst, FP&A will be responsible for working with Finance leaders to forecast and analyze top line metrics, influence resource allocation, and support strategic investment decisions across the business. This person will play a key role in the company-wide forecasting and planning processes with product specific focus covering all aspects of the P&L, cash flows and other key metrics. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who seeks a collaborative, iterative and fast-paced environment, while being able to work efficiently with the time difference.

Responsibilities:

  • Use predictive modeling techniques to solve challenges, impact business decisions, contract pricing, customer/vendor account analysis, forecasts and profitability improvement

  • Assist in the automation of repetitive data aggregation and manipulation tasks to enable greater focus on value-add analysis

  • Provide data driven support to enable smarter and more profitable business decisions

  • Assist the leadership team in the streamlining of:

    • Annual/quarterly/monthly FP&A process

    • Board Materials

    • KPI reporting and analysis

    • Cash Flow Forecasting

    • Automating reporting in partnership with our Business Intelligence Team

  • Responsible for creating financial models, incorporating guidance received on validated assumptions; as well as challenging data and information integrity

  • Uses insights to identify and implement improvements that increase the business value and efficiency of the work performed

  • Consults with management to coordinate the reporting process, assess financial statement risk, understand business drivers of financial trends, highlight opportunities for improvement and create relevant management exhibits

  • Initiates and/or leads increasingly complex projects and continuous improvement activities that may span beyond the scope of own team's responsibilities

  • Identify risks and opportunities to management and recommend strategies to achieve financial goals and targets

  • Manage frequent ad-hoc projects to support leadership in influencing sound business decisions through financial insights

  • In partnership with our Business Intelligence team, create interactive analytics tools and dashboards that deliver insight into key operational and financial performance goals and metrics at scale

  • Be proactive in identifying improvements to existing reports and dashboards to accurately represent Socure’s goals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science or Engineering

  • MS or MBA in Finance, Chartered Financial Analyst, or Chartered Accountant

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to multitask and be adaptable in a fast-paced environment

  • 2-4 years of practical experience in FP&A, Accounting, Business Intelligence or Data Analytics

  • Strong data comprehension skills - ability to explore and understand new datasets, know how to clean and transform it to answer business questions

  • Experience creating financial models, leveraging large data sets, BI/Analytics, or relevant engineering experience in coding

  • Exposure to working with senior leadership on financial planning and/or reporting a plus

  • Experience in a startup environment is a plus

  • Excellent communication skills; while you’re an excellent listener, you can be assertive, persistent and persuasive where appropriate

  • Highly organized, coachable, and a self-starter

Salary Disclosure:

Base Salary range: $85,000 - 100,000

This represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on factors including geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other job related factors. Socure's compensation and rewards package for full time roles includes a market competitive salary, equity, comprehensive benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans or an annual discretionary performance bonus.
