\nThe New Ventures team establishes, grows, and executes transformational partnerships for Udemy in Japan, South Korea, China, and Vietnam. Our partnerships drive revenue, increase customer success, deliver innovative products, elevate our brand, and differentiate our company in the market. Our team creates new ways of operating as a business, solves critical and complex problems, and supports our most impactful corporate priorities. \nUdemy is seeking a leader with the ambition, experience, and agility to own one of our most strategic partnerships of the company in Korea. This individual will have the mindset of the “GM”, managing the relationship with our partner, the execution of partnership go-to-market (GTM) strategy and activities, as well as driving new initiatives and delivering results. The Head of Strategic Partnerships, Korea, is a high-visibility role responsible for building the partnership strategy, collaborating with partner executives, and influencing internal stakeholders across Product, Sales, Marketing, Enablement, Legal, and Operations to deliver results. This leader will continue to build momentum and deepen the partnership which will unlock opportunities to grow the relationship into the future. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires broad business acumen and a strong aptitude for working through ambiguity.

What you'll be doing:

- Build and maintain deep relationships with key Partner stakeholders, including ongoing working cadence \n
- Build and maintain deep relationships with key stakeholders across Udemy, including Product, Sales, Marketing, Enablement, Operations, Legal and PR \n
- Co-design GTM strategy of the partnership (sales, enablement, marketing, operations) \n
- Be the cross-functional leader to drive the partnership initiatives, including product launches and ongoing GTM activities \n
- Evangelize the strategic partnership to internal and external parties \n
- Build assets to communicate Partner strategy and status, including well-designed business review decks, partnership scorecards, and briefings for executives \n
- Represent the partnership to internal executive leaders, such as Executive Leadership Team \n
- Design and deliver quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with internal and Partner stakeholders \n
- Connect with and influence customers and prospects at the senior leadership level directly where it is desirable and feasible \n
What you’ll have
\n- \n
- 10+ years sales and/or business development and management experience in Korea market, 10+ years in partner or channel management \n
- Proven track record of closing significant deals within Korea, as well as global deals with Korean Corporations \n
- Experience in enablement, particularly in leading, developing and mentoring a team of Korean professionals \n
- Experience developing and executing regional sales plans and forecasts, addressing new customer acquisition and existing customer growth \n
- Creativity and proficiency in supporting sales cycles, including “top of funnel” prospecting activity, opportunity qualification, developing joint close plans, negotiating and closing sales, and driving upsells. \n
- SaaS Human Capital/Talent Management software experience, a plus. \n
- Excellent communication, negotiations and presentation skills (written and verbal) in English and native Korean \n
- Get-it-done mindset: not afraid to roll up your sleeves, getting into the data and analyze yourself, building deal models, and doing what it takes to get the job done - while also thinking and acting at a strategic level \n
