About you

You’re an analytical problem-solver ready to put your skills toward purposeful work that has a global impact. About this role

You understand that complex systems aren’t always easy to measure and monitor but want to do it anyway. You have extensive experience with microservices, along with monitoring and instrumenting them. You understand that the user experience should influence how we measure things. You’re into Linux and are not afraid to dig deep when troubleshooting application, system and network problems. You have extensive experience with monitoring and APM systems like Datadog, New Relic and Honeycomb.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading our overall monitoring and observability strategy.
• Helping engineering teams operate their microservices by improving our observability capabilities.
• Standardising the use of SLIs + SLOs across engineering.
• Owning and improving our current monitoring systems, like Datadog and Sentry.
• Working with other teams to improve site availability wherever possible.
• Encouraging and facilitating capacity planning activities, such as load testing and game days

What you’ll have
