The VP of Finance is a key member of Vi's leadership and G&A team, serving as a senior executive responsible for the company's full finance function — including FP&A, Controllership, and AR/AP operations. This individual will act as a strategic thought partner to the EVP of Finance, CEO, and broader C-suite, with direct accountability for financial planning, reporting, internal controls, equity and tax strategy, and board-level communications.
This is an executive-level role that requires a rare combination of deep financial expertise, executive presence, and the ability to inspire, develop, and retain a high-performing finance organization.
Responsibilities
Executive Leadership & Organizational Management
- Communicate with confidence to the C-suite, board, and investors — including board materials, financial summaries, and fundraising support.
- Serve as a key member of the leadership and G&A team, contributing to company-wide strategic decisions beyond the finance function.
- Interface directly with current and prospective investors, bringing a commercial, business-first perspective to all financial discussions.
Strategic Finance & Decision Support
- Shape financial strategy and long-range planning in partnership with the CEO and leadership team.
- Identify cost drivers and growth levers; surface gaps and risks with recommended solutions.
- Build financial models to support M&A, fundraising, and capital allocation decisions.
FP&A
- Variance analysis and performance reporting to the C-suite, and board.
- Oversee tracking and reporting on key business metrics including ARR, NRR, GRR, Rule of 40, unit economics, and other KPIs relevant to a high-growth SaaS business.
Accounting, Controls & Compliance
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close in compliance with U.S. GAAP (revenue recognition, ESOP, leases, intangibles).
- Lead the annual audit and coordinate Israeli and U.S. tax filings.
- Own global tax strategy including transfer pricing and sales tax compliance.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and audit readiness.
Operational Finance
- Oversee day-to-day operations: billing, collections, AP, and expense management.
- Manage equity and options programs, including option grants, vesting, and ESOP compliance.
- Drive process improvements and lead high-priority finance initiatives.
External Relationships & Advisory Management
- Primary liaison to external auditors, tax consultants, legal counsel, and tax authorities across Israeli and U.S. jurisdictions.
- Manage banking, insurance, and key vendor relationships.
Requirements
- 10+ years in finance, including FP&A, Controllership, and finance operations leadership.
- Prior VP of Finance or equivalent experience in high-growth tech or SaaS.
- Executive presence with experience presenting to boards, investors, and C-suite.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, global tax strategy, and ESOP accounting.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, PayEm, Salesforce) and financial modeling tools.
- CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
