Base Pay Range:

$31,863.00 - $49,387.00

Job Summary:

The licensed State Inspector is responsible for inspecting vehicles and ensuring compliance. In this role, you will inspect vehicles for evidence of abuse, damage, or mechanical malfunction. You will identify any modifications to engines, fuel systems, emissions control equipment, and other vehicle systems to determine the impact of modifications on inspection procedures or conclusions. You will inspect repairs to vehicles to ensure quality of work.

The right candidate is a great communicator and team player with a strong work ethic. This role requires a current emissions and state inspector certification and a valid driver’s license.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform emissions services in accordance to state laws and regulations in a timely manner

  • Accurately identify and task issues found on vehicles (do not accept a defect, do not create a defect, do not pass a defect)

  • Maintain working space in the production facility (i.e. empty trash, clean floors, etc.)

  • Follow safety rules and procedures

  • Assist in training newly hired Emission Technicians and State Inspectors

  • Drive vehicles in order to set vehicle monitors

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Must have current emissions and state inspector certification

  • Must have a valid driver's license

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to pass background check

  • Comfortable working in service bay
