Base Pay Range:

$39,828.00 - $61,734.00

Job Summary:

The Fleet maintenance Tech 1 is responsible for assisting in identifying potential issues on the fleet in order to prevent downtime and delayed runs. They will work closely with the regional and fleet managers for job assignments, as well as using the fleet tracker app to identify incoming repairs that are needed. Tech will inspect all units on the yard daily and fix small repairs that can be made internally. They will also coordinate with our third party vendors on any larger repairs that need to be made.

  • Inspect all equipment and detect excessive wear.

  • Maintain parts list and inventory levels.

  • Inspect wiring and lights for proper function. Ability to diagnose and replace as needed.

  • Inspect rails for wear and apply slip plating as needed.

  • Check tire wear and pressure. Report findings and replace as needed.

  • Perform small job repairs and work with third party vendor scheduling for larger repairs.

  • Track work repairs and time management through fleet tracker / app.

  • Complete inspections on units for driver accountability on pre and post trip accuracy.
